The Ziera Shoes Unstoppable Campaign

The Ziera Shoes Unstoppable Campaign

I am so excited to share the Ziera Shoes Unstoppable Campaign with you.

Ziera Shoes have put out a challenge to  Australia and New Zealand in celebration and recognition of strong, inspirational, “Unstoppable” women.

Their aim is to encourage the public to nominate who they think are truly an inspiration and by sharing their extraordinary stories, Ziera is hoping to celebrate women in all their wonderment.

So be it in their careers, forging and navigating hardship, reaching personal goals or striving to make other lives better… the celebration of women and in their diversity is being championed by Ziera.

“Helping women is a part of Ziera’s DNA,” said Nicky Dunn from Ziera. “We want to start conversations, encourage nominations, support empowerment and really celebrate women!”.

Here’s my Ziera Shoes Unstoppable Story;

After the birth of my son, I realized that I wanted to do something that made me happy. Something that would give me freedom so I could spend as much time with my son as possible. I knew I couldn’t go back to working in an office and I was lucky enough to have a husband who supported my choice.

I studied at the London College of Fashion and worked as a Fashion Stylist in London and I wanted to utilize my skills in some way.

A friend of mine suggested blogging. I’d never heard of it? I wasn’t on Facebook and had no concept of social media. After doing some research I thought why not? I never thought anyone would read it!

Being a stay at home mum can be very isolating, blogging and social media gave me an outlet. I’d always loved to write and blogging unearthed my creative flow and my passion for fashion again. Before I knew it I was addicted! Things moved quite quickly after that. I got the hang of social media, started making connections. I used my experience in sales to sell myself – if you know what mean!

A paid job as a Fashion Editor for Latte Life, an Eastern Suburbs newspaper followed. I had no experience but they were patient and I picked it up quickly. I had my own monthly column and I also worked as a Fashion Editor for a website called Leaders in Heels to gain experience. I had lots of queries from readers about styling and I had a light-bulb moment.  Why not get back into styling and presenting, start my own business, work my own hours.

ziera2-1

So that’s where I am now!  I have clients and my database is growing. I love being my own boss most of all. I can choose what works for me and still spend time with my kids. That’s my dream job! It’s great to be back doing something I love and I also consider blogging as my job now too!

Having a baby completely changed my mindset, I just wasn’t the same anymore. I didn’t want the stress of a sales environment. I had to do what felt right for me, what made me happy. My family also benefit from my inner fulfillment. Blogging was the best thing I ever did. It awakened something in me that had been dead for years. Passion for my job.

I have been lucky enough to work with some amazing Australian brands and my fave UK ones! One of my goals was to travel to London regularly for work and I just spent time there for Fashion Week and for the past few years I have been able to meet with some of the brands I work with including Next, Marks & Spencer, Boohoo, Debenhams and Boden.

I have even been invited to Paris and New York Fashion Week,  that’s my next trip!

One of my highlights is appearing on Network Ten promoting Natalie Bassingthwaighte’s ChiKhi range and having my work published in the Daily Mail.

When I started blogging I attended a networking event called Kids Fashion Business and now I am hosting it.

My aim is to have a styling segment on  TV and eventually my own show and I won’t stop until I get there!

Sienna DB Jacket

The Sienna Double Breasted Jacket is the perfect jacket to go from work to play or vice versa.

Wear with the matching shorts for summer chic or pair with jeans for a more casual style.

I love the double-breasted style and white button feature. The jacket is also fully lined which is another obsession of mine.

If coral doesn’t float your boat, it’s also available in a classic black or soft blue hue.

Olivia Shorts

I love the Olivia Shorts because they are exactly the right length. I hate shorts that are too short!

These are the perfect option for an afternoon fun or an evening out.

Wear during the day with a classic tee and sandals or kitten heels the dress them up at night with high heeled pumps and a cami top.

I’m a sucker for a suit so I’ll probably just wear them together.

They just look so good as a team!

Tutu Studios – Story Based Ballet Classes For Children And Toddlers

Tutu Studios – Story Based Ballet Classes For Children And Toddlers

Friday is my daughter’s special day.

It’s the day she gets to spend with mum without her brother around and it’s also the day she goes to Tutu Studios!

Friday is officially her favourite day of the week.

Charissa-6-1

Tutu Studios Ballet

Every day during the week she will ask me, ‘Mum what day is it today? Am I going to dance class?’

Then I have to deal with the disappointment when she realises there is no dance that day.

I am so happy that she enjoys it so much, I love to see her face light up when she puts on her tutu and her dance shoes.

The pride in her face when she shows me a new move that she’s learned literally brings tears to my eyes.

Charissa-5-1

The reason she loves her dance class so much has a lot to do with the structure.

At Tutu Studios each class is story-based so your tiny dancer will be captivated by an enchanting fairy tale.

One week could see them swim like a mermaid and the next, fly with Peter Pan!

The teacher Miss Amy makes the classes so playful and full of joy that every child in the class is so happy to be there.

You can feel the buzz of happy energy when you leave the room.

Charissa-7-1.jpg

There are bubbles, ribbons and dress-ups and they even get a sticker book with a new sticker every week. Now if that isn’t an incentive I don’t know what is!

But the best thing about it is the parents get kicked out!   So I have a coffee and a catch up with some of the other dance mums or pop to the gym for a cheeky 30 mins. Win, win.

The kids respond much better when we’re not there anyway!

There are a few viewing days during the term when you get to watch your little one’s new skills and boy are they proud to show us!

Every week I see my daughter’s confidence grow. She is making new friends, learning new skills and she has a hobby that she loves that is just for her.

Thanks Tutu Studios for making my daughter so happy! I wish I felt that way about the gym!

Tutu Studios is a school for little dancers to experience the magic of beautiful music and movement through fairy tales, stories, sparkles, and ribbons.

Not only will your little dancer grow into a creative, confident, happy young person, you’ll be able to celebrate each special step she takes along the way.

Tutu Studios is located in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney and has 7 locations to choose from.

Hotchpotch Pintuck Top | Cambridge Ankle Skimmer Jeans | Whitney Mid Heels

What I love most about Boden Australia are their fabulous prints. The gorgeous Hotchpotch blouse can be worn tucked in or loose for a Personal Stylish look.

Paired with the Cambridge Ankle Skimmer jeans and Whitney Mid Heels and you have a winning combo.

Perfect for date night and drinks with friends, it’s a quintessentially British outfit that Meghan Markle would approve of!

Markle would approve of!

Hotchpotch Pintuck Top | Hampshire 7/8 Trousers | Abbie Loafers

I’ve teamed the Hotchpotch blouse with the Hampshire 7/8 Trousers for this casual look. I’ve decided to wear more color and Boden is the range to make that happen!

I’ve never owned a pair of green pants before and I think I pull them off! The leg length is great and the fit is so comfortable they are literally like wearing jeans.

The Abbie loafers just take it up a notch for an extra colour pop.

I might wear this for Mother’s Day lunch!

Mini Boden: Heart Pocket Jersey Dress  | Fun Mary Janes

I can’t resist a bit of mix and match with my mini-me and the Boden Australia range is designed to do just that. All their items compliment each other perfectly.

Their Kids Fashion range features cute detailing that your little ones will enjoy including sequins, heart pockets, appliques, and florals. Dressing up has never been more fun!

Kaia Ottoman Dress

Another fave is the Kaia Ottoman Dress. It comes in 4 colors and I picked green with pink piping.

I wore it to the Sydney Opera House with my daughter to see Peppa Pig and I got so many compliments.

The color really pops out and the dress is a dream to wear. It has a flattering silhouette and it’s just the right length. So ladylike which I love!

Wear it with heels for that special occasion!

so there we have it! some of my Boden Australia faves!

Talking Capes and coats via Pink Ruby Fashion

Every week I will be sharing my fave finds from the brands.

This week I’m talking capes and coats.

Pink Ruby Elyse coat

First up is the Elyse coat from Pink Ruby!

Absolutely stunning in navy jacquard with balloon sleeve detail.

I love it’s simplicity, so elegant and stylish. It’s the perfect cover up for work or an evening out.

At $195.99 you can look like a Royal at a snip of the price.

I feel positively Markle-esque wearing it and that’s always a good thing!

IMG_8299

I’ve never really been too sold on the cape thing. When I think cape, I think superhero or children’s dress ups.

The Alessandra Neck Tie Cape from Pink Ruby changed my mind.

Made in luxurious velvet it’s the perfect throw-over for an Australian winter.

You can dress it up, I’m wearing it with leather leggings and heels but you could also pair it with ripped denim and trainers.

It is literally my go to at the moment and it looks like you’ve made an effort when you really haven’t. Love that!

Unfortunately it’s sold out but you can shop similar here.

pink-ruby2

Last but not least… is it a cape? Is it a dress? It’s both ladies!

The Eleanor Cape Dress combines two great looks in one.

This wool dress is the perfect look for winter workwear.

Featuring a gingham check and a Personal stylish knee split with a deep v-neck, it’s a sophisticated look with a twist.

Pair with your favourite pumps for a classic look that will make you stand out.

At $195.99 it’s an absolute bargain!

There we have it – my picks for this week from Pink Ruby. Hope you like them!
